Public Panel ”Fortællinger”

Pia Quist participates at the public panel “Fortællinger” (Narratives) as part of the conversation series “Forgængelighed – En samtalesalon til tiden” (On Impermanence – Conversations about Time) at LiteraturHaus in Copenhagen on the 29^th of September at 4 PM. Together with historian Birgitte Possing, filmmaker Patricia Bbaale Bandak, and general secretary of the Danish Bible Society Johannes Baun, the panel will explore how people experience change and how those experiences find their way into narratives.

TRANSITION Lead Investigator Mikkel Thelle is part of a conversation about places together with architect Anita Lindholm Krak and archeologist Tim Flohr Sørensen on the 17^th of November at 4 PM at LiteraturHaus in Copenhagen. The conversation is a part of the series “Forgængelighed – En samtalesalon til tiden” (On Impermanence – Conversations about Time).

Workshop on the History of Labour Migration

Together with the Institute for Studies of Malmö’s History (Malmö University) and the Centre for Oresund Region Studies (Lund University), we are organizing a workshop on the history of labour migration in the southern Baltic region and the 19^th and 20^th of November 2026.

Interested participants can send an abstract of max. 500 words no later than 15 September.

Session at the 17^th conference of the European Association for Urban History

We are organising the session Experiencing Transition in Modern Urbanization at the 17^th conference of the European Association for Urban History. The session explores transition as a perspective for studying urban–rural change in the twentieth century and beyond.

The conference takes place in Barcelona, Spain, 4 September 2026.
